The search giant, Google, yesterday announced that it's set to acquire Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc. for $12.5 billion. But it's not a done deal yet, because the acquisition is subject to the US and European regulators' approval.
Google has made a good number of changes in its search algorithms to wage war on websites that steadily publish numerous low quality videos and stories with the intent to manipulate the algorithms.
Google has just turned its attention to social media content by integrating social networking content with its Internet search results. The changes unveiled on Thursday, 17th February, 2011 shows that Google now includes information and links shared by friends on social circles, such as Quora, Twitter and Flickr.
The exciting news in the search engine arena is that Bing has started to power Yahoo! Search in the United States and Canada. However, only the English version is affected by this transition.
